United States Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District Project
“Alpha EE was a key part of the project team and provided their services from the start of the construction, through the completion of warranty. This project received an overall “Outstanding” rating from the USACE, in large part to the efforts of Alpha EE. It also received an “Honor Award” from the Kansas Preservation Alliance for the quality of historic preservation.”

Electrical Generation Services

Electricity generation is the process of converting some form of energy into electricity. For electric utilities, it is the first process in the delivery of electricity to consumers. The other processes are electric power transmission and electricity distribution which are normally carried out by the electrical power industry.

The electricity generation division of Alpha Energy and Electric Inc., specialises in building Power Generation plants. A power generation plant is a facility designed to produce electric energy from another form of energy, such as:

  • Heat (thermal) energy generated from:
    • fossil fuels;
      • coal
      • petroleum
      • natural gas
    • solar thermal energy
    • geothermal energy
    • nuclear energy
  • Potential energy from falling water in a hydroelectric facility
  • Wind energy
  • Solar electric from solar (photovoltaic) cells
  • Chemical energy from:
    • fuel cells
    • batteries

There are many different types of electric power generating plants. The major types generating electric power today are shown below.
